About the team
The Alumni & Philanthropy Office has an exciting opportunity for a casual Prize Officer to join the team. As we embark on shaping the future of Alumni and Philanthropy at the university, you'll have the chance to be part of a dynamic team that guides, coordinates, and manages a range of philanthropic initiatives. From major and principal gifts, bequests, creative stewardship, annual/regular giving, capital campaigns and supporting philanthropic research. We are focused on strengthening our alumni engagement via expansion of our alumni networks and actively engaging our alumni and the broader community through innovative communication strategies, events, and engagement programs in preparation for our 50-year anniversary and beyond.

The Role
As the Prize Officer, you will manage the administration, funds dispersal, and record-keeping for academic prizes across all Schools and relevant departments at Murdoch University.

Your responsibility will be to ensure fairness and transparent processes that recognise and celebrate exceptional academic achievements. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for fostering academic excellence, we welcome your contribution to our dynamic team.

What you'll bring to this role

  • Undergraduate degree in business and/or management.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with positive collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills for leading meetings and crafting diverse audience communications.
  • Effective organisational and time management abilities with proficiency in CRM.
