Process Manufacturing Trainee
Programmed Skilled Workforce, in partnership with Opal Packaging Australia, is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated Process Manufacturing Trainee who is eager to join an innovative business and work alongside a team of dedicated and passionate professionals. Working at Opal Packaging, one of Australia's leading packaging companies, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake MSM30116 Certificate III in Process Manufacturing, which will be delivered over a 24-month period.

Our local site based in Donnybrook forms part of our network of manufacturing plants across Australia and New Zealand.
The Role
As a Process Manufacturing Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts who will provide training to operate and maintain specialised packaging equipment to support Opal's onsite packaging business and their offsite customers. Over the course of your traineeship you will acquire valuable mechanical experience while building your skills and knowledge in all areas of the manufacturing process.
Your day-to-day duties will see you effectively support the site operations by operating equipment including fixed and mobile plant in addition to assisting with the production and movement of product throughout the plant, readying it for dispatch.
Contributing as an active member of an experienced team, you will be enthusiastic to learn and eager to assist the team to deliver quality service to the business and offsite customers. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be supported in your learning on-the-job by experienced and dedicated team members and assisted in obtaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will meet the following criteria:
Strong commitment to safety and driven work ethic
Previous experience in a fast-paced industrial environment is advantageous
A current WA C-Class drivers licence and own transport
Logical outlook with the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
Proactive and hands on approach
Good communication both verbal and written
Strong computer literacy
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
