The Bridge Incorporated (The Bridge) is a progressive and innovative community based organisation that provides a variety of support services to individuals with disability as well as young people from disadvantaged backgrounds from various locations in Melbourne's south-east and Peninsula.
The role:
We are currently on the look out for Process Workers to join our warehouse crew in Dandenong! Here at The Bridge we are committed to building a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusion in every area. We currently have two warehouses, located within walking distance of each other, and each features a diverse and growing workforce. The Bridge Works has a number of partnerships and contracts, and we have a number of process lines which the team operate and complete various aspects of production, involving labelling, packaging and assembly.

About You:
Do you have experience in warehouse environment or are to get such experience?
Do you want to increase your knowledge of, and skill-set in, a warehouse environment?

Requirements for the role:
To be successful in this role, you would:
• Be capable of reading and understanding production documentation and safety manuals
• Be able to understand and utilise basic math for problem solving
• Be an effective communicator and have well developed reading and writing skills
• Be willing to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
• Be physically capable of manual labour that includes lifting, bending, and manual tasks of a repetitive nature
• Be able to perform manual tasks of a repetitive nature, as well as work duties involving lifting and standing for long periods of time.
• Be reliable and punctual
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Previous experience within the disability sector, or within individuals with a disability, would be advantageous
• Possession of a Level 2 First Aid Certificate would be advantageous
Appointment to the position is subject to obtaining and maintaining a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check and two satisfactory reference checks. This role is only available to those who hold the right to work in Australia. Furthermore, all employees of The Bridge must have had at least three doses of the Covid-19 vaccination, or hold a valid exemption.
