What you will be doing:
Based in Clontarf you will learn everything that is integral to the manufacturing of rail-based products as well as repairs. You will get to learn and understand how things work within the business. Some of these tasks include:
Overhead operations - Moving Rail or Glued Insulated Rail Joints
Shotblasting - Shot blasting steel rail and steel fishplates
Assembling - Assembling Glued Insulated Rail Joints
Rail Cutting - Using Bi-metal Bandsaw to cut raw material
Thermabond Cut/Punch - Cutting and punching holes in insulation materials using pneumatic ram
Fishplate Dressing - Grinding steel fishplates to smooth finish, stamping serial numbers on ends.
Cold Bore Expansion - Using a petrol-powered tool to pre-stress rail holes
Kit Packing - Packing components for shipping to customers
What you will need:
Forklift tickethighly desirable
Drivers Licence with reliable transport
A willingness to learn and grow
Ability to commit to consistent work
Previous manufacturing experience highly valued
