Henty Gold Mine is located in the heart of the West Coast of Tasmania, allowing you to take advantage of its heritage, stunning national parks and historic mining towns. The Henty Gold Mine is a well-established, high yield gold mine.
The Henty Processing Plant consists of a diverse range of processing stages, including crushing, screening and ore sorting plant, SAG mill grinding, CIL treatment, state-of the art 24 streaming sampling and onstream analysis and historian data management system.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Processing Manager to lead the processing department team, to actively contribute to optimising metallurgical and production performance in a CIL processing operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that are focused on:
- working together to deliver continuous improvement
- provide operational leadership in respect to safety production and efficiency improvements
- resolve technical queries relating to metallurgical test work.
- orking closely with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager to optimise efficiency and cost of the processing plant.
This role is offered on 4 days on, 3 days off work pattern, residential in Queenstown with relocation services and rent-free company housing.
About you
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy / Mineral Processing / Chemical Engineering or other relevant field of study.
- Have a minimum of seven years' experience working in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate at all levels.
- Experience in Gold processing.
- Ability to solve problems and be innovative.
- Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature.
- The right to currently live and work in Australia.
