- Always set a good example concerning Health, Safety and Welfare, the Environment and Quality.
- Understand Site Emergency Procedures.
- Reporting of Accidents, Safety Concerns, Near Misses, Damage, Environmental and Quality incidents.
- Assist in closing Internal and External inspection/audit findings where applicable.
- Understand their responsibilities under WorkSafe Australia
- Comply with all Site Rules & work as part of a team.
- Help to Minimise Environmental risk/impact on site and implement the company's spill procedure if required.
- To continually visually check the plant and quality of products to help identify any potential issues.
- To continually look for improvements in their work environment
- Attend and contribute to the monthly H&S and Operations meetings.
- Ensure all policies, Procedures, JHA's and SWIM's and SOPs are followed and adhered to
- Take time to STOP and assess activities. Take 5fivebooklets to be filled out.
- Offer ideas for improvement and look out for your work colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
- Actively contribute to all JHA & Swims & Sops associated with their role.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area and practice good housekeeping.
- Ensure all PPE is looked after and stored correctly.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on site.
- Report any defects immediately.
- Report problem areas and help to formulate a practical solution.
- Ensure that PPMs are filled in accurately and on time, with all defects reported.
- Ensure the recovery equipment is kept clean and free-running throughout operations.
- Understand your role on the plant patrol, picking from a conveyor belt
- Report immediately any defect that could be affecting metal recoveries.
- Attend any training that the company has arranged.
- Build strong relationships with immediate peers and the operations team.
- Portray a professional image to all external and internal parties.
- Comply with all BPWA policies and procedures.
- Effective communication with the Line Manager is needed to ensure issues are handled at a senior level where necessary.
- All candidates are subjected to Drug, alcohol and Police clearance.
