Keep Moving is a Berrimah based, well-established, locally owned and operated Northern Territory business, established in 2006. Keep Moving provides assistive technology equipment solutions to hospitals, primary health care clinics, aged care facilities, disability, and rehabilitation sectors, and individuals requiring assistive technology and support.

About You

As we continue with our exciting period of growth, our Keep Moving team must grow to support this. As a result, we are looking for a Procurement and Inventory Control Officer.

You must be able to work in Australia with no restrictions and be resident in the Darwin area.

Qualifications and Criteria

  • Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be able to follow instructions, have attention to detail and be organised.
  • Must possess initiative, be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team, integral to the companies' goals.
  • Must have a willingness to learn, contribute and expand within the business.
  • Must be able to think on the run and solve any issues that arise without notice.
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Current National Criminal records check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Tasks & responsibilities

Sourcing and Supplier Management:

  • Identify potential suppliers and maintain a database of qualified vendors. 
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery times, and supplier capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain favourable pricing and service agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage contracts with suppliers, including negotiating terms and conditions. 
  • Identify contract renewal or termination dates and initiate necessary actions.
  • Forecast demand, monitor market trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain adequate Inventory levels to meet demand

Procurement Planning and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and requirements. 
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise purchasing processes.

Purchase Order Management:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track order status, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with receiving departments to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods.
  • Adhoc tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager
