About the Role
Based in Brisbane office and reporting to the Team Leader Procurement – Onshore D&C and working closely with the Procurement Category Lead – Wellsite Services, this position develops and delivers specialist Procurement Category support for Onshore Drilling and Completions. This is a market facing role with interaction with some of Santos’ largest suppliers and works in a well-established diverse and collaborative team.
Key accountabilities include:
• Leading procurement and commercial activities (strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and post award support) for a significant portfolio of high value multi-asset/service contracts with international and local service providers
• Contribute to Procurement Category plans and market intelligence in support of long-term company safety, sustainability, production and unit cost targets
• Applying critical thinking to develop and deliver clear and innovative strategies/contracts that are aligned to the company’s strategy and tailored to asset objectives
• Developing commercial acumen in a highly active operating environment including interaction with Joint Venture partner approvals
• Identifying and supporting sustainability objectives through procurement process including emissions reduction and local content
• Providing guidance and assurance to stakeholders on Santos and JV approval requirements
• Maintaining supply chain assurance and compliance for assigned contracts
• Supporting procure-to-pay activities for assigned contracts
• Understanding change and performance mindset and contribute to continuous improvement
• Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
About You
You will be experienced in:
• Full procurement lifecycle activities, ideally within drilling and completions contracting or a technical environment
• Operating systems to manage and analyse contacts and procurement data, with SAP or similar advantageous
• Developing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Working with technical professionals to source products and services
• Contributing to business improvements and delivering change to benefit your stakeholders and professional efficiencies, through a continuous improvement mindset
Ideally, you will be degree qualified in supply chain, law, commerce or engineering, and/or demonstrate sound experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
