AddressRapidly growing and making waves in their industry, this company is seeking an Category Specialist to join their procurement team on a permanent basis. You will work closely with a supportive manager and experienced procurement professionals. The team are passionate about ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction for their end user, and they demonstrate this throughout all sourcing activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic sourcing across multiple categories, particularly indirect and services
- Management of existing suppliers, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships and added value for the organisation and its customers
- Encouraging collaboration between procurement and a diverse range of stakeholders in order to align objectives and achieve procurement outcomes
- Analysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks and procurement activities to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assisting in formulating forward-thinking strategies such as supplier consolidation and category management plans
The successful applicant will require:
- Minimum 3 years experience in sourcing, category management or procurement
- Ideally, you will have had exposure to indirect categories such as waste, freight, office stationery, electricity, telecommunications, food and beverage etc
- You will be passionate about achieving procurement outcomes and eager to learn from experienced industry professionals
- Tertiary qualifications beneficial
