One of Australia's leading Government Departments are looking to engage a Procurement Officer to work collaboratively whilst maintaining consistency of processes and compliance with corporate and Commonwealth policies, including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act and Rules, and Financial Delegations.
The role is based out of Canberra with flexible working arrangements! The successful Procurement Officer will be offered the option of an Ongoing, Non-Ongoing or Contract position!
The successful Procurement Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Providing accurate procurement and contracting advice and support across the ABS, including effective participation in all stages of procurement processes
- Maintaining consistency and compliance with ABS and Commonwealth Procurement Frameworks
- Quality assurance, undertaking procurement/contract data entry
- Reporting support (compliance, annual report, AusTender)
The successful Procurement Officer will have experience in the following:
- Demonstrated experience and capability in procurement – a practical understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, preferably supported by relevant qualifications
- Strong focus on client engagement/delivery to a high standard (able to build relationships and provide accurate, timely and consistent services)
- Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Able to work effectively in a team environment to achieve high quality outcomes.
