Procurement Specialist CAPEX Salary: $110k to $120K + Super (based on experience)

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best supply and procurement outcomes with a key focus on improving safety outcomes, identifying and mitigating risk, increasing value generation and improved supplier performance. What you'll do:
As a Procurement Specialist CAPEX at Dyno Nobel, you will play a pivotal role in delivering best supply and procurement outcomes for roughly $170M total spend across categories. You will have the opportunity to lead procurement activities, drive strategic business projects and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Your ability to provide sound commercial support to the business in relation to market conditions, spend management, price volatility and supply/service disruptions will be crucial. Your role will also involve developing strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers while identifying and executing specific continuous improvement opportunities.
Deliver best cost supply and procurement outcomes for assigned spend categories.
Lead procurement activities, strategic business projects and continuous improvement initiatives across IT.
Provide sound commercial support to the business relating to market conditions, spend management, price volatility and supply/service disruptions.
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Identify and execute specific continuous improvement opportunities.
Manage market engagements to ensure suppliers are fairly evaluated against a range of financial and non-financial criteria.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Specialist CAPEX role at Dyno Nobel will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or Contract/Supplier Management. You will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field ideally within the resources or manufacturing sector. Your solid understanding of the procurement process, will be key to your success in this role. Your ability to develop and deliver sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives and priorities will be highly valued. You will also have a professional approach to negotiation planning and execution, along with a sound understanding of contract law principles and contract drafting.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field ideally with a resources or manufacturing focus.
5-7 years’ experience in a Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Contract/Supplier Management role.
Solid understanding of the procurement process, including IT procurement.
Ability to develop and deliver sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives.
Professional negotiation planning and execution capability.
Sound understanding of contract law principles and contract drafting.
