Roster:8D/6R - FIFO ex PerthReporting to Operational Readiness Coordinator the Product Acceptance Specialist is accountable for the interactions of development, onsite support, supporting and continuous improvement recommendations of the Fortescue Integrated Technology - Automation Projects products including but not limited to, Fortex suite of products, Autonomous Haul Train, Autonomous Light VehicleThe Product Acceptance Specialist will also provide support and direction to the various equipment operators to ensure safe, successful business and system development objectives are met and consistently achieved by coaching and mentoring, the end user, and associated departments in all aspects of the delivered product(s).The Product Acceptance Specialist will be required to interact with various stakeholders including the Autonomy Definition Group to share their knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful Product Acceptance.
  • Validate the products against Functional Requirements specified by the business and report system issues promptly
  • Create and update test cases and plans to ensure the products meet the intended functionality
  • Help with developing and maintaining Product manuals and tutorials for the Automation Projects products
  • Continuously provide constructive and factual feedback as SMEs to improve the products and systems
  • Record and capture accurate data and information by the system
  • Monitor Issues logged into the Mining Systems Portal for system enhancements and feature upgrades
  • Communicate with Technical departments to reduce production and maintenance delays
  • Optimise equipment productivity and efficiency
  • Advise Operations to avoid operational delays within your control
  • Ensure team members are provided with a safe and healthy work environment by strictly following company safety procedures, safe work practices, and Fortescue's Lifesaving Choices
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 3 years site-based experience, with technology-based mixed mining fleet exposure
  • Proficiency in the knowledge and application of a Fleet Management System
  • Analytical mindset with a holistic approach, strong problem-solving skills, and quantitative aptitude
  • A proven ability to mentor and influence a team
  • Advanced Level in Microsoft Suite of programs and other corporate programs, combined with a passion for technology
  • Proven experience in validation testing
  • Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
  • Good understanding of mining production principles and key drivers to a successful dispatching / fleet control operation
  • Strong understanding of efficiency drivers in a large-scale mining operation
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Able to bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking, and be prepared to work outside of comfort zone
  • Able to articulate and explain ideas to several different levels in the organisation, utilising adaptable levels of terminology appropriate to audience.
  • Able to understand the technical components of the job (e.g. knowledge of specialized equipment maintenance/design) and use this knowledge to effectively create, approve and manage maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Diagnose problems and share solutions to create learning experiences.
  • Provide feedback about performance on a task or activity that is specific and objective
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with highly confidential matters
