In this newly created role, we are seeking the expertise of a Product Compliance Engineer to join our Milwaukee team. Working closely with the Engineering and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all Milwaukee products exceed the market expectation in all aspects of safety and compliance. An opportunity to assist in the establishment and operation of TTI product assessment and verification testing centre to enable Milwaukee products to be assessed in-house for any applicable acceptance criteria.

The successful applicant will demonstrate experience or knowledge in the areas of product electrical safety, EMC, mechanical safety requirements, and have a thorough understanding of legislation and regulation standards, ensuring you are up to date with changes. Your passion for power tools, hand tools and outdoor garden tools will see you as suitable contender.

What your day-today look like:

  • Assist relevant Product Managers ensuring Milwaukee products are compliant within company guidelines, encompassing electrical safety, mechanical safety, EMC, ERAC, GEMS, OH&S and ACCC legislation and requirements.
  • Research and report relevant regulatory and Australia Safety Standards requirements for product launches as required.
  • Review and provide feedback on any relevant documentation for specific products.
  • Compare and supply requested information such as SDoC's, Risk Assessments and compliance confirmations.
  • Liaise with Product Managers and R&D teams in determining and verifying relevant ANZ marketing criteria and claims, including coordinating testing as required.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Electrical or Electronic degree qualification and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude with the ability to conduct product analysis.
  • Ability to proactively problem solve.
  • Must be a team player, as well as able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
