Description
Product Control is the largest department in Finance primarily responsible for controlling daily profit and loss reporting, price verification and trading activity for the Institutional Clients Group. We work closely across functions on a daily basis (including the Trading desks, Risk Management, Operations, and other areas of Finance) and develop a deep understanding of the products traded, along with the associated market risks and accounting complexities.

The Global Process Owner is a critical and influential role in shaping and driving process and technology change across the group. Product Control Transformation Global Process Owner Team owns multiple transformation processes for Finance working across functional silos, geographic and businesses. This role requires a significant understanding of the Product Control function as well as ability to work effectively at all levels and partnering with our key stakeholders and other functions.

This role will involve:
  • Performing Data Analysis and tracing to identify key Data Quality Issues impacting Product Control and determining root cause.
  • Creating ideas and insight of how the Product Control process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively
  • Contribute to the execution of regulatory remediation related to Data Quality Issues.
  • Work closely and establish excellent business relationships with all areas of the Finance department, liaising with the Risk Management, Finance Technology and Front Office Technology teams
  • Efficiently solve complex, ambiguous problems/situations and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Use effective escalation to ensure issues are highlighted in a timely manner. Focus on recurring issues and drive through enhancement projects and systems fixes
Qualifications :
  • 6+ years experience in a related role
  • Experience in financial control, valuation or related discipline
  • Financial products and valuation related knowledge
  • Evidence of robust control focus
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong PC skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Digital Data Analytical tools (e.g. Power BI, Python). Training will be provided on other in-house and industry standard systems used on this position.
