About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Product Design Lead to join our Product team in this full time, permanent position.  Reporting to the GM of Product, this role will help develop our user centred products, services and experiences of the future, addressing key trends such as helping consumers with the shift to new energy. 

This role is currently an individual contributor role, working directly with the leaders in Product to shape strategy, design and research practices and collaborating with designers across the business. However, there may be leadership opportunities in the future as the Product function evolves.

In this role, you’ll be:

• Help evangelise customer centricity and the customer priorities throughout the business
• Identifying and validating the products, services and experiences appealing to target customers and in line with business ambitions
• Leading the development and implementation of user-centred design practices throughout the retail business
• Conducting user research and testing
• Collaborating across the business to ensure that a holistic service design view is taken to our customers and their experiences

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience in Product Design, preferably in a digital-first or direct to consumer setting
• Strong understanding of UX design principles
• Experience with user research and testing tools
• Experience with prototyping tools
• Some experience with service design would be advantageous

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Design Lead who is looking to work in a small team in a supportive, welcoming and professional environment.  You will be a key member of the product team and have exposure and oversight to a diverse range of product initiatives.
