What you'll be doing

To collaborate with the Product Managers (PM's) in developing and sourcing products that fit the Freedom criteria of design, style, taste, quality and value; and to support managing the end-to-end processes executing new products within the Freedom strategy both instore & online.  

  • Assisting the PM's in sourcing and maintenance of new product information by working collaboratively with Planning, Shipping, Quality Control and Vendors.  
  • Partner with cross functional teams in marketing, digital and stores to ensure seamless launch of new products in store and online. 
  • Prepare merchandise reports for weekly analysis, range reviews and ad hoc needs. 
  • Maintain product information and submission sheets. 
  • Supporting the PM's to optimize the assortment of core lines and new lines in the respected categories, working within the parameters of the range and pricing architecture within the option counts of Good, Better & Best.  
  • Arrange and track all product costings. Complete cost comparisons from suppliers and shop competitor for price alignment.  
  • Maintain the product development tracker with updates to new items including material, quality, changes, costs and dates.  
  • Create and maintain support documents for new developments and business as usual processes. 
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers on development samples status & sample test report keeping relevant stakeholders updated. 

Who you are

  • 2+ years in buying or merchandise team. 
  • Experience in the furniture or homewares market would be desirable; a passion for these categories is a must! 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft office particularly Excel. 
  • Previous use of PowerBI would be beneficial
