Vacant Position: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

We are currently seeking a Product Development Specialist to join our dynamic Product Development team. The Product Development Specialist will report to the Head of Product Development and will be working across all areas of new Product Development from brief to product approval and manufacture. 

The Product Development Specialist will liaise with clients as well as internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products, and will play a key role in the expansion of the Wild Child product portfolio as part of the innovation and Product Development strategy. 

To be successful in this role you will be required to:

  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment in alignment with Wild Child Values 
  • Prepare and maintain regulatory dossiers for finished product and raw materials
  • Coordinate technical and regulatory development projects for product approval in Australia, Europe, US and other emerging markets
  • Coordinate the accelerated stability program in collaboration with the Quality department
  • Design and execute stability testing of approved formulations
  • Liaise with external testing laboratories 
  • Design and prepare client samples as per brief and relevant compliance requirements 
  • Produce and maintain required documentation in compliance with relevant TGA and GMP requirements
  • Provide technical assistance during formula development as well as large-scale manufacturing, including manufacturing method development, scale up and troubleshooting. 
  • Support the technology transfer of projects to large scale manufacturing, working collaboratively and proactively with the Operations and Quality departments. 
  • Assist in the development of innovative, high performing and sustainable formulations in compliance with the relevant regulatory and GMP guidelines to support the expansion of the Wild Child product portfolio 
  • Train R&D scientists in Product Development duties, including testing and evaluation of data 
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients as well as suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers to source raw materials and packaging 
  • Design and produce formulation marketing sheets 

The following will be highly regarded: 

  • Degree in Chemistry or related discipline 
  • Proven experience in GMP and GLP work environment
  • Chemistry and formulation skills 
  • Experience in research and development and/or regulatory affairs
  • Strong communicator and people focused, with a genuine desire to foster a positive, proactive, and supportive working environment 
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed   
  • An uncompromised focus on quality, integrity, and safety
