AddressOur client is a privately owned food manufacturing business in Melbourne's South East. This organisation has a long and storied history in manufacturing and value-added products supplying into retail, foodservice and QSR with a strong market footprint in their chosen categories.
The opportunity/role:
This NPD role exists within well established technical team of circa 4 heads, reporting into the NPD Manager. Core focus areas for this role include:
- Traditional NPD activities including factory trials and innovation of new to market product offerings
- Continuous Improvement activities (CI) focusing on reworks, line extensions and ingredient substitution activities
- Project management of new product activities, juggling multiple concurrent projects in hand with different priorities and lead times.
- Cross-functional collaboration within functions such as Production, Quality, Planning and Sales/Marketing
- Demonstrated experience within a food science/NPD function in a food manufacturing setting
- Tertiary qualifications in food science/technology or similar
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate technical subject matter content to technical and non-technical audiences
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and GMP requirements
- Sound understanding of StageGate process
- Diverse footprint across multiple sales channels, giving you strong understanding of different commercial settings within a technical sphere
