Foxleigh Mine, located 15km south of Middlemount and approximately 275km northwest of Rockhampton, has been successfully operating for 24 years, producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for steel manufacturing. About the Role
Foxleigh has recently announced that Product Haulage services on-site will now be self-managed. An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Product Haulage Supervisor to assist in leading this new venture. Reporting to the Product Haulage Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform designated tasks, and providing effective guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Promoting and maintaining safety for all employees, ensuring adherence to Foxleigh’s SHMS, policies, and procedures.
- Conducting pre-start/toolbox meetings, return-to-work meetings, and regular on-the-job observations and coaching.
- Leading a team of operators, including organizing and scheduling to meet daily haulage requirements and targets.
- Managing production and mechanical breakdown issues, liaising with key stakeholders to form effective solutions.
- Completing required inspections, audits, and comprehensive reporting on haulage achievements, challenges, and issues.
- Developing working relationships with key stakeholders on site.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- A minimum of 3-5 years within the mining and/or heavy transport industry in a similar role
- Previous experience in haulage and working towards production targets
- Proven experience successfully managing and leading a team
- Strong knowledge and experience of best practices in mining and road transport operations
- RIIVEH302E Operate multi-combination vehicle certification
- RIIMPO304E Conduct wheel loader operations certification
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Methodical, accurate, and timely preparation of data, report writing, and management information
