Core Tasks Include:
Manages regulatory compliance systems for the region. Supports business units on regulatory compliance and assists manufacturing operations regarding compliance activities. Manages Product Safety assessments, health and safety risk evaluations, and toxicological data for products distributed through the region.
In conjunction with the SHE & Regulatory Manager manage the PSRA resources, within the region by supplying project direction, guidance, and support. Projects are fairly complex in nature with a considerable amount of information to investigate and research. Final recommendations will be made with the approval of SHE & Regulatory Manager and senior management teams. Timing of projects can be short term to one year in length.
Advise of PSRA obligations in order to direct new substance notification strategies and advise the company on the impact of legislative changes specific to the business, assist in establishing a business position and ensure that the position is represented in discussion with regulatory authorities. Demonstrates regular influence to internal managers and Regulatory agencies.
Oversee regulatory compliance solutions within information systems, including SAP modules and legacy databases. Creates ways to improve methods, processes, strategies and services within the PSRA group to maintain legal compliance.
Manage and update the database of Australia Bicon Import Permits to facilitate customs clearance in Australia.
Coordinate with various sites and departments to collect necessary documentation for the timely renewal of import permits
Manage Product Stewardship by managing HPV commitments, overseeing the company hazard communication policies and practices across the regions including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) and label authoring. Responsible for toxicological and ecotoxicological data preparation and assessment for regional product lines.
Provide Regulatory Technical Support by functioning as the technical liaison and company advocate with PCPC, ACC, SDA and other trade associations. Provide guidance to business units in communicating regulatory information to customers. Develop and coordinate regulatory training programs for the region. Provide specialist advice and guidance to individuals inside and outside the company about regulatory affair initiatives.
Manages group resources by distributing work to Product Safety Advisors. Provides performance documents including performance evaluations, employee development plans and training.
To be successful in this role you will possess/be:
- Proven experience in similar roles either Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance positions
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Environmental Science) required; advanced degree preferred
- Exposure to ISO9001, GMP standards, along with strong project management skills
- Positive Learning Attitude
- High attention to detail
- SAP experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization
- Able to multi-task and adapt to situations with problem-solving skills
- Driven mindset, hands-on approach and supportive personality
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
