About the role

CMV Truck & Bus are looking for a passionate, engaging and motivated ProductUtilisation Trainer to join our team. Reporting to the Uptime Manager, this role is based at our state-of-the-art dealership in Derrimut and encompasses regular regional and interstate travel.

This exciting role allows the opportunity to provide our customers detailed training to fully understand how to operate their truck, including the latest electronic vehicles (EV) in a safe, fuel efficient and optimal operating manner, highlighting the features and benefits.

You will need to demonstrate you have skills developed within your recent career that has prepared you for this exceptional opportunity. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

Key functions of the role

  • Developing and delivering driver development programs by producing education material / aids and conducting courses for CMV Truck & Bus dealerships and their customers
  • Deliver new product training programs & provide product expertise to various key stakeholders
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure all dealer sales & service members have the best driver training and vehicle hand over capabilities and competencies. 
  • Participate in product promotion programs including media related activities such as journalist drives and ‘Drivers Fuel Challenge’
  • Actively monitor and review fuel and driver behaviors to constantly evolve training to include the latest benefits and features providing maximum ROI to the customer
  • Ensure all training personnel always comply with company WHS policies and processes.

Skills & experience

  • MC licence with at least 5 years experience in linehaul essential. 
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment and/or DG would be advantageous
  • Commitment to safety and safe driving practices
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to share information with others.
  • High personal professional presentation & time management standards
  • Strong computer, time management and organisational skills
  • Customer focused with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
