We are looking for a talented and unique individual that is agile, flexible, and passionate about food manufacturing processes and product improvements that keep the integrity of our brands.
This is a hands-on role reports to the Operations Manager. It requires you to work as a part of a small multifunctional team responding to production schedule, batching, filling, packaging and other customer requirements, as well as, supervising the team. The environment is fast-paced and requires you to be able to confidently work at speed, collaborate with the rest of the team to execute and deliver all parts of the production process.
Your Qualifications, skills and experience will include:
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate and or other related food manufacturing certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or similar GMP-regulated industry in a 2IC role or similar.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Safe handling of automated machinery.
- Sound knowledge of QA/QC and safety and risk management.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of production scheduling in accordance to QA requirements.
- Great organisational, scheduling and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross functional teams.
- Ability to prioritise, organise and delegate tasks between the team.
- Implementing and driving system and quality improvement processes.
- Excellent and fluent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively communicate.
- Relationship building and communication skills that enable positive change and benefits both the business and customer.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A practical understanding of processing equipment, plant maintenance and cleaning.
- A healthy attitude towards challenging what is good practice and product.
- A forklift license will be highly regarded.
Your Key responsibilities include:
- Operating various production machinery – batching, filling, and packaging.
- Complete QC tests and effectively complete reports and associated documentation. Including but not limited to, start-up process and shut-down processes.
- Team collaboration to fulfill business and customer requirements and certifications.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures – work processes, Quality, and safety requirements.
- Adherence to Non-conformance protocols.
- Effectively collaborate and support senior management with GMP audits.
- Effectively schedule in collaboration with Procurement, sales, and QA
- Prioritise, organise, and delegate tasks between the team.
- Effective time management to ensure effective utilisation of production availability.
