Our apparel category is growing rapidly and we are recruiting for a highly motivated Production Manager to join our scaling production and technical team.

Sourci is a fast-growing & industry disruptive scale-up that helps businesses save time & money! We do this by working with companies in every industry source, manufacture and import from vendors all over the world. 

We’ve been able to help hundreds of Australian, New Zealand, UK and USA based clients source and manufacture a wide variety of products worldwide.

Our team currently consists of over 50 incredible humans working across hubs in Melbourne, China, India, and South-East Asia. We’re working hard helping thousands of companies take control of their supply-chain. With your help, we’re hoping to continue on our rapid growth path and expand our offices globally and become a leader in sourcing & procurement. 

Reporting to Head of Production, the Production Manager – Apparel will work closely with our Product Managers and Production team to help interpret client designs and manage new product development. Your role is to manage product sourcing, development, manufacturing and delivery of bulk in line with critical path timelines. 

You will have a good understanding of construction, finishing and what makes a quality garment. The category can be large so get ready every day to develop a new product range from luxury evening wear to sportswear to casual fashion!

Your duties include however not limited to:

  • Sourcing new suppliers based on new product requirements.
  • Managing expectations with both sourcing and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Monitoring key milestone dates and communicating progress in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all production, manufacturing and delivery timelines are maintained.
  • Coordination of order raising. 
  • Key negotiation and problem solving to achieve budgets and KPI’s.
  • Proactively handle and resolve quality issues.
  • Manage order amendments and communicate all changes to the team.
  • Clear communication on project briefs and individual product requirements with suppliers.

Who you are:

You’re a confident and highly motivated production specialist with outstanding communication and time management skills. You will have a background in apparel production management and an in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end process of manufacturing. 

A self-starter who thrives on problem-solving and has a demonstrated ability to execute your role with autonomy, as well as collaborate within a close team environment.

With exceptional negotiation skills, you will have the ability to negotiate the best possible parameters for our projects and offer great support to the product team in providing a clear understanding of exactly what you require of them to deliver products in an efficient timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in production management and extensive knowledge and experience working within the entire end-to-end product development life cycle.

  • Previous experience in a similar production management role – Preferable from a wholesale or direct to factory business - 3+ years.
  • Proven critical path management experience.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with Internal stakeholders with a proactive and energetic nature.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the production life cycle.
  • Strong offshore production experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manage time effectively.
  • An effective problem solver and negotiator
