About the roleThe Trade
Mechanical Fitter is a Full-time position, based at
Coopers Plains. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will join our Gyprock manufacturing plant that produces Plasterboards here in Australia! In this role you will:
- Provide effective support in the preventative maintenance and repair of the production line, ensuring the achievement of factory production targets.
- Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory.
- Ensuring all relevant procedures & safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
- Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous: Milling, welding (MIG, TIG) and using a Lathe machine.
- Understanding on Condition monitoring and use of maintenance monitoring system SAP.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory.
- Adhere to safe work practices and take steps to identify hazards and report incidents.
Your hours are Monday to Friday on a rotating roster of one week each shift. Morning shift (6am-2pm), Afternoon shift (2pm-10pm), night shift (10pm-6am). Weekend work available. A Certificate III in
Mechanical Fitter is required for this role.
