Overview of Position
In this challenging role you'll be leading multiple projects to ensure that the material, people and equipment required to build a new product are set up in the Salesforce, tracked in Celoxis and organised on the production line. While managing those projects you'll collaborate closely with the project manager, purchasing, production engineers, R&D and production manager. This role is well-suited for a technically-minded individual with a high attention to detail.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead new Product Projects for R&D and be point of contact for Production Implementation (People, Material and Equipment)
Manage communication between R&D, Production Engineering Expertise and Production Manager
Benchmark and track performance of the production line 2-3 months after ramp and recommend appropriate changes to improve quality, capacity and cost
Highlight opportunities and initiatives that can be taken with existing lines (with appropriate SME consultation) to increase capacity and develop learnings prior to implementation into new product lines
Ensure that appropriate communication tools are up to date and accurate with the latest information regarding the project and initiatives (Confluence, Celoxis and Salesforce)
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor degree, preferably in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM)
Candidates without formal tertiary qualifications but with appropriate skills and experience are encouraged to apply (Such as experience as a Production Planner, Production Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Project Engineer)
Experience in production engineering & project management with exposure to measuring and reporting on production metrics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with other project team members
Experience in defence or another highly regulated environment e.g. aerospace, defence, automotive, medical devices etc
Basic knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
Basic systems engineering knowledge is highly desirable
Ability to understand complex technical concepts quickly and strong stakeholder management skills
