Job description

We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Production & Warehouse Operator based at our Darwin facility. This role will work under the direction of the State Manager, or any other incumbent manager and complete tasks assigned to fulfill production goals in line with Australian OH&S standards and the company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake production and warehousing activities, including cleaning and forklift work, using standard operating procedures (SOPs), to ensure deadlines are met in a safe manner. 
  • Maintain a high level of quality in work. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and Company policies. 
  • Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, statutory obligations, policies, procedures, and standards always. 
  • Be alert for potential hazards and take corrective action as appropriate. 
  • Provide feedback on problems identified. 
  • Understand your role, obligations, and impact in relation to safety behaviours. 
  • Contribute to team commitment and actively always contribute to a positive teamwork environment. 
  • Communicate openly, honestly and with integrity always. 
  • Ensure inspection, calibration, and care of equipment before and after use. 
  • Check instrumentation and equipment to ensure correct operation. 
  • Check instrumentation and equipment to ensure calibration is current. 
  • Observe, attend, and report any abnormal operating conditions to the appropriate management. 
  • Clean plant equipment and site as required. 
  • Accurately record details on production documents including batch sheets, delivery dockets, monitoring logs, laboratory analysis requests, stocktake sheets etc. 
  • Conduct sampling of products manufactured for laboratory analysis within documented procedures. 
  • Conduct inspections and check on material and equipment in the plant as necessary. 
  • Accurately load, unload any product or raw materials to/from delivery vehicles using a forklift in a safe manner 
  • Continued and ongoing vigilance to ensure risks are minimised/negated. 
  • Conduct periodic site checks and report to manager any incident identified 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Ability to read and follow a formula precisely.
  • Current Forklift License
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred and will be highly regarded.
  • Proficient maths ability including an understanding of measurements and weights.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Computer literate to navigate your way around an iPad.
  • Reliable, honest, and punctual
  • Reliable and good work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
