Production worker required to join our Bayswater team to assemble roof/floor trusses/ wall frames and carry out other factory/production tasks. The job requires measuring, cutting, assembling, finishing, stacking and packing the finished product in readiness for delivery. This role will suit a proactive individual who has previously worked in this fast-paced, quick turn-around manufacturing. To perform any of the required tasks in the factory, the candidate must be physically fit, capable of lifting, bending and standing for the workday duration. Required for the job:
- able to demonstrate your capability to perform the assembly tasks efficiently and safely. You should be competent in setting-out timber components and able get preparations done for the tasks required.
- you are an experienced, competent user of basic carpentry tools (hammer, tape measure, square, level, small power tools (i.e. circular saw, drop saw, nail gun, pneumatic stapler, etc) and other power and non-powered tools.
- you have excellent advanced hand-eye co-ordinated skills from previous work experience in your carpentry role.
- you are accurate in taking measurements and competent in reading drawings from a monitor/screen and/or written instructions. Essential are your communication/conversational skills (speaking, reading, writing) in English.
- you are a reliable, honest and punctual worker, who practises a good work ethic, and behaves, performs the job professionally at all times and proactively works within the team.
- all members are required to work consistently throughout the day to meet daily targets; are efficient in producing the product to high quality control standards and respect and keep the workspace clean.
