Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for a switched on, motivated and organised individual to join our fast paced and energetic office. We are looking for an adaptable, proactive enthusiastic & passionate person to provide consultant bookkeeping services to our well established client base. The applicant must be experienced, professional, and able to ensure that all bookkeeping, payroll and industry compliance requirements are up to date at all times.
Applicant must have a certificate 1V in financial services (bookkeeping)
Duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Process daily bookkeeping work for various businesses, including data entry, monthly reporting, invoicing, preparation of monthly financials, BAS preparation and lodgment, subcontractor statements
- You will need to be proficient in MYOB, XERO, DEXT and EXCEL and all Microsoft based packages
- Payroll, data entry and processing
- Long service leave, superannuation, RDOs and workers' compensation, calculation of terminations and redundancies
- Perform reconciliations
- Debtor & Creditor Management
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness for the business
- Superannuation and ATO compliance
- Must have knowledge of General Journals, clearing accounts, Loans, HP payments, finance agreements, FBT knowledge.
The Successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum 2 + years of bookkeeping experience
- Business banking knowledge and high level of skill in financial management – cash flows etc using EXCEL
- Skilled in MYOB and XERO
- Ability to multi-task
- Good interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- Have a self-motivated, reliable and driven attitude
- Self-starter with excellent time management and organisation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Exercise initiative and sound judgement
- Team Player
