Queensland Computers is a fast-growing IT Provider with a strong presence throughout regional QLD. We are a young, active and ambitious team that delivers professional procurement services for our Education & Government customer base.

  • Location: We have flexible work agreements in place that allows you to work from home and from offices across QLD. Our team's central Office location is in Bundaberg.

About the role 

As an innovative and experienced Senior Learning Designer you will be, responsible for building learning solutions across a variety of formats (online, videos, user guides, quick reference guides, classroom etc) ensuring they align with the learning strategy, learning outcomes and are user friendly. There will be a request to attend Education events and seminars, as well as travel to schools across Queensland, when in person delivery is required. 

Responsibilities

Coordinate with internal teams

  • Work with internal teams, to resolve challenges with device deployment. 
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate team members or management.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of progress and potential roadblocks.
  • Communicate availability internally, as you coordinate your calendar and schedule meetings with schools. 

Digital Pedagogy Improvement

  • Analyse process to identify technology program improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to new technology program development in partnership with schools.
  • Assist with Leadership and Vision for the Technology Programs success. 

Communicate with customers

  • Communicate with teachers, parents, and students to understand challenges and improve engagement. 
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collect feedback from customers to improve the use of technology to deliver excellent educational outcomes. 

Manage documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of customer contact details, processes, procedures and progress. 
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles for digital pedagogy. 

Continuous improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in applying a range of learning design frameworks and methodologies, including applying instructional design, human centred-design, design thinking, adult education principles and approaches in the design and development of learning content and programs.
  • Confident in approaching Principals, Business Managers and IT Managers to address the challenges of developing and deploying a technology program to deliver optimal outcomes with the curriculum. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and structuring online content and activities for learning in a Learning Management System 
  • Strong ability to create and develop accessible, relevant and engaging learning content for online, face-to-face and blended learning mediums.
  • High level communication, collaboration, interpersonal and organisational skills 
  • Well-developed project management and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Must hold a valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
