- Salary based on experience, range: $97,922 - $122,400 super
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
In this role you will have the opportunity to produce and disseminate material such as best practice guides, checklists, self-help kits, sample documents and precedents about Civil Law, with a focus on NDIS, tenancy, infringements, disability, discrimination, migration and mental health resources. These materials will support Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) staff and legal practitioners who do legally aided work, including preparing and training staff for upcoming legislative changes and practice. You will research, prepare and present materials across VLA, including collating and publishing regular legal and practice updates, capturing and enhancing legal content and resources. .
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country
About you:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Significant experience in and knowledge of human rights and Civil Law in Victoria.
- Experience using a range of information technology including legal research methods and tools.
- Attention to detail with excellent communication and presentation skills, including plain language and writing for online publications.
- Highly developed skills in building and sustaining stakeholder relationships.
- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
