The Program Co-ordinator Industry Skills supports the facilitation, development and effective implementation of Industry Skills strategic initiatives, approaches and programs to support the organisation and the Queensland Building and Construction industry. The Industry Skills Unit drives strategic programs and implements work plans which realise the organisation’s strategic goals through operational excellence and proactive collaboration across the organisation’s business units and external stakeholders to achieve continuing professional development outcomes and capability/knowledge uplift for industry.

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
The aim of this role is to:
- Support QBCC industry skilling programs and work plans including:
- Capture and test evidence to support skilling initiatives which in turn support strategic and operational decisions;
- Undertake and support internal and external stakeholder analysis and development including engagement frameworks and reporting mechanisms;
- Liaise with internal business units to support a whole of organisation approach to industry skilling initiatives;
- Identify and develop training and professional development needs and opportunities for industry partners and customers to support QBCC Regulatory outcomes
- Develop productive relationships with training and Industry Skills providers to support QBCC and capability uplift outcomes.
- Actively identify opportunities to pursue initiatives which assist QBCC to expand the skills and capability of customers, including licensees, industry stakeholders and homeowners
- Support the maintenance of sound working relationships with stakeholders including industry associations and organisations, community groups, and industry skilling providers to achieve greater awareness of the Commission's aims, and to foster a co-operative or partnership approach to fulfil the Commission's aims, and to maintain current knowledge of relevant industry and regulatory happenings.

- Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external relationships by having sound interpersonal and negotiation skills, including a capacity to resolve issues and manage relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders in specific or inflexible timeframes; and the ability to manage the flow of people and business in a high pressure environment.
- Demonstrated high level administration, problem solving, continuous improvement and record keeping skills which include the ability to support the broader division
- Ability to interpret, apply and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on the application of legislation, policies and procedures and develop, recommend and implement strategies to deliver quality regulatory service operational outcomes.
