Job description

Program Improvement Officer

  • Temporary Fulltime role is available until June 2027
  • Industry leading training with ongoing career development and support
  • Flexible/hybrid work option is available with base office in parramatta
  • Salary $ 120,859 - $ 133,183pa, plus Super and annual leave loading (Clerk Grade 9/10)

Your Role

An amazing development opportunity to drive continuous improvement of the SOW Program within a context of culturally appropriate, trauma informed, client centred program delivery. The role reviews and provides advice in relation to client support plans, taking into consideration program guidelines, client need and regional/local service availability and develops tools and resources in response to identified trends and/or Program Improvement opportunities that support staff development.

What you’ll do

  • Review and provide advice to the SOW Leadership Team in relation to client support plans, taking into consideration program guidelines, client need and regional/local service availability
  • Review and identify trends and/or opportunities for Program Improvement from a range of inputs including Exit Surveys, client support plans, Risk and Issues Registers and SOWSmart data
  • Review key qualitative and quantitative inputs to identify program risks and opportunities for Program Improvement
  • Work with other key staff within AHO to implement risk mitigation strategies and improvement opportunities
  • Via the SOW Program Manager, prepare advice for the Director Housing and Client Services and the AHO Chief Executive, as required
  • Work with key AHO SOW staff to ensure that key program governance collateral is current and tailored to supporting effective program development
  • Maintain and update as required the SOW Operations Manual and SOWSmart User Guide

You’ll work in a high-performing team that works across all teams within Services Our Way and with wider collaboration with all AHO teams.

  • Willingness to travel to SOW sites across NSW
  • Self-Motivated and can make balanced decisions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all teams across AHO
  • Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail

The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) is part of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ)

The AHO is a statutory authority, established under the Aboriginal Housing Act 1998 (NSW) and plans, administers, and expands the policies, program, and asset base for Aboriginal housing in NSW.

The AHO works in partnership with Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHP) and Aboriginal communities in delivering housing program and developing housing policy and standards. AHO has also strived to build the skills of Aboriginal people in the sector to improve the management of both their properties and their organisations for a better tomorrow for everyone.
