About the Role
The position is responsible for the management, coordination, reporting, risk management, and compliance of the multi-country, multi-stakeholder Climate Resilient by Nature (CRxN) program. The role oversees and is responsible for WWF-Australia's coordination and communications of program deliverables, including administering grants and supporting the development of knowledge and learning products. It ensures program and project-level compliance with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) policy and Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct requirements. The Program Manager manages and supports key relationships with DFAT, Australian and international NGOs, and other Program stakeholders, including private sector partners.
Key Accountabilities (please refer to the Position Description for the full list)

• Manages the overall CRxN program and is responsible for key financial and administrative functions.
• Coordinates grants (including a competitive sub-grants program) and other Program funding in accordance with Program deliverables and in line with DFAT and WWF-Australia procedures.
• Conducts due diligence, partner capacity assessments, and reviews risk management and safeguarding plans to ensure the Program aligns with WWF?Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework?(ESSF) and?Programme & Project Management Standards?(PPMS), WWF-Australia social and operational policies, DFAT policy, and ACFID Code of Conduct requirements.
• Collaborates with relevant teams to promote grant, learning, and partnership opportunities through WWF channels.
• Coordinates work programs and tracks milestones against the Program plan to support efficient, transparent, and adaptive management.
• Collaborates with WWF-Australia finance team to coordinate financial and program reporting to DFAT and other stakeholders.
• Manages internal and external relationships, including WWF Program Managers domestically and internationally, NGO partners in Australia and overseas, DFAT, ACFID, and private sector stakeholders.
• Communicates project budgets and reporting schedules to support transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Collates content, analyses data, and synthesises complex information for donor reporting, including reviewing project-level and technical progress reports, financial reports, and knowledge products.
• Manages program staff, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and accurate administrative and financial support across the program.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Significant professional experience in the international development and/or the environmental sector.
• Advanced project management and operational skills, including program, human resource, risk, contract, and financial management, in an international development and/or environmental context.
• Extensive experience managing partners and expectations on a range of contractual matters, with an exceptional understanding of both formal and informal communication, including in cross-cultural contexts.
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of eco-socio program design, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nature-based solutions to climate change, preferably in the Indo-Pacific region.
• Demonstrated knowledge, skills and expertise applying Gender Equity, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) practices at the project level.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, written & verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-cultural and linguistically diverse environments, including with Indigenous Peoples.
• An ability to work collaboratively and independently in a flexible team-based environment.
