About your new role
In this role, you will be part of driving positive change across the Gold Coast. As part of our small team, you'll be responsible for developing new and planned project opportunities for the Gold Coast, considering their feasibility, and determining their economic, social, environmental and/or aesthetic impact on the Gold Coast.
The high-profile nature of the proposals and projects we investigate makes this an exciting environment, with complex problems to solve and challenging deadlines to meet. Examples of projects that the team have recently been involved in include:
- Home of the Arts (HOTA) - Future Stages Assessment including business case and feasibility
- HOTA Digital Education, Production and Screen Facility
- Springbrook Cableway Prefeasibility
- Screen Industry Project, Yatala
- Gold Coast Dive Attraction
- Disaster and Emergency Management Centre

What you bring to your new role
- A strong technical foundation in a field such as engineering, architecture, town planning, business or related areas
- Strong project management skills and experience with the ability to develop, administer and manage complex projects and resources effectively
- Strong analytical skills plus a capacity for planning, careful judgement and a thoughtful/innovative approach.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate project resources and influence others in a desired direction to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and liaise at the highest levels in both the public and private sectors.
- Project and commercial transaction management skills in the feasibility, business case development, planning, design, procurement and delivery of key city building and economic works/projects.
