Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have production experience and strong skills in work-plan development and progress tracking. The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Liaise with project managers to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives aligned with organisational goals.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Analysis of project progress and adapt scope or timeline when necessary to achieve optimal results.
  • Assign roles and tasks to team members based on their strengths and abilities.
  • Contribute to the skill development of team members and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Achieve organisational goals while adhering to quality standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise all aspects of projects to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a project performance database to track progress and milestones.
  • Assign and monitor resources to enhance project efficiency and maximise deliverables.
  • Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels.
  • Serve as a communication point between company teams and external resources.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources, including vendors and trades.
  • Facilitate cost savings and quotations for project deliverables.
  • Manage certification processes and required documentation for project commencements and completions.
  • Coordinate defect rectifications and manage Variation registers.
  • Prepare client documentation for approval and handle project correspondence.
  • Manage all contractual documentation under the direction of project managers.
  • Proactively address procurement issues and propose solutions.
  • Procure site-specific safety documentation, including third-party trades.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in project coordination.
  • Experience in coordinating teams and deliverables.
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of contracts, document requirements, payment claims, and schedules.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Completion of a Project Management course or similar.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in Commercial Fit-out in a project coordination role.

This is a full time position with immediate start available.  Salary is negotiable on experience.
