AddressOur client is seeking an experienced Project Cost Estimator to be based in Canberra to manage cost estimation and scheduling activities to enhance Defence capabilities. This role entails overseeing all tasks related to cost estimation. Additionally, the specialist will assist in managing project schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Analysing, defining, and establishing cost estimation practices in line with Defence/CASG policies.
- Managing and fulfilling cost estimation needs for client projects.
- Developing and providing schedule analysis reports to meet project requirements.
- Supporting the Program Management Function team by centralizing project control activities across the program office, including cost estimation, risk management, lessons learned, and schedule development, maintenance, and analysis.
- Reviewing, refining, developing, or retiring project control artifacts to support strategic and operational outcomes for the program office.
- Mentoring and transferring knowledge in project controls and reporting expertise to the broader team.

- Experience in the Defence Environment.
- Effective written and oral communications and skills.
- Familiarity with Defence Project Management and Scheduling tools (such as OPP)
- Must be an Australian Citizen and have a AGSVA Security Clearance.
Ideally, applicants will have experience in Defence projects with a good understanding of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) procedures and culture.
