Project Engineer - Rerailing About ARTC Keeping Australia moving and growing our network for the future brings immense opportunities. About the Division / Team Our Interstate network is responsible for the management of approximately 6,000km of track and servicing a broad range of supply chains. The team comprises more than 500 staff and 24 provisioning centres and depots, which continue to deliver major corridor maintenance works and projects across the country to increase the efficiency and capacity of Australia's rail network. About the Opportunity Contribute effectively and efficiently towards meeting the project's safety and quality objectives and reporting to the Project Manager on current performance and the status of effective project risks. Provide technical expertise towards development of scope of works for delivery by contractors and work with key stakeholders to successfully deliver the AMP rerailing program across the ARTC interstate network. The role combines office-based work and site-based delivery activities for the rerailing projects which will require infrequent and planned travel interstate for onsite works across the Sydney to Narromine & Albury (SNA) Corridor and the Telarah to Acacia Ridge (TAR) Corridor. Assist with the delivery of the AMP Rerailing program in accordance with ARTC policies and standards on time and within budget allocationsContribute to the development of detailed project plans or develop the plan for projects to support the Project Manager in completing projects on time, to cost and quality standardsMonitor and evaluate the performance of projects by conducting regular reviews of projects against indicators to assist the project director in the resolution of project issuesProvide input into engineering solutions to support the delivery of projectsParticipate in project risk reviews and follow up with implementation of treatments & assessment of controls to report to the Project Manager on the actual risk placement of the projectLiaise with the Project Manager on the costing, scoping and development of project measures to resolve contractual and delivery issues About You To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or an appropriate discipline and / or relevant industry experienceSolid experience in engineering maintenance, construction or project management of track, civil and/or structuresKnowledge of or an awareness of Work Health and Safety principles and relevant rail safety legislationExperience in the administration, management and delivery of MPM/capital works projectsAbility to work in an organised manner with highly developed written and oral communication and presentation skillsHighly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated commercial acumen What we offer You will have access to a variety of benefits working with us, including but not limited to: Work on leading major projects as part of a long-term program of workCompetitive remunerationFlexible working options available24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family membersNumerous financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits Including salary sacrifice option of novated leasing, discounts and support programsOur Organisation and Culture We foster an inclusive, values led culture and embrace diversity in all forms.
