Your new company
Hays is currently working with a large resources company, they are looking for a Project Information Manager to join their growing project team at their headquarters.
Your new role
- Review Existing Systems/Applications and Processes
- Identify Systems/Application Landscape - Evaluate-Functionality-Cost
- Stakeholder Engagement and Development of IM Plans/Procedure
- Engage with all relevant stakeholders on the development of the Information Management System/s and processes.
- Where possible, use systems/applications that has already been developed to reduce the complexity of learning new systems/ applications.
- Negotiate with the systems/applications supplier on a contracting model that works well for the project
- Development and Implementation of the IM Systems
- Work with the project and the supplier to develop and implement the selected IM System/Application within a projected timeframe.
- Ensure adequate guide and training is rolled out for the project team.
- Train, support and manage the document controller in day-to-day document control activities.
- Review/Approval Process Review
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive Projects IM experience
- Previous experience working in Information Management on large projects: conversant with the wider information set (data, documents, models) and its use in managing projects through the whole project lifecycle
- Strong technical knowledge of Project Information Management, covering tools and workflows.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, across the whole project irrespective of seniority
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to facilitate collaborative relationships across multiple discipline squads.
