Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc.
  
Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their growing business.
  
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
  
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $40m+.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Management of site project teams
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Business development
  • Working on tenders
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams
  
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience on civil projects, must have Bulk Earthworks experience
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
