About the Business

LB Concrete Solutions is a thriving developed business undertaking commercial and industrial concreting packages within the multi residential commercial sector throughout Melbourne. 

Since business began in 2015, our workforce has grown significantly. We now employ approximately 60 skilled and dedicated employees who have chosen fields of expertise varying from concrete to steelfixing, formwork, machine operations and everything in-between. 

We also have a fantastic team of office-based staff whose diligence and vast knowledge of the construction industry allow us to take on a range of both structural commercial and industrial projects with confidence. 

We are looking for a driven Project Manager with experience in commercial construction. LB Concrete Solutions undertake projects in schools, aged care, multi storey apartments and industrial warehouses ranging from up to $3M to $10M in value.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Construction or related field preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years working as a Project Manager or similar role is preferred
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work across multiple projects at once
  • Knowledge in the construction industry
  • Knowledge in Concrete Structures is essential
  • Enthusiastic, driven with a desire to succeed
  • Proficient in MS Office & Excel
  • Experience using Hammertech, Aconex & Procore is desirable
  • Experience using Workbench is highly desirable but not essential

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Experienced in all aspects of excavation, formwork, reinforcement and concrete
  • Ability to give concise direction, to a range of employees and subcontractors of different skill sets
  • Able to be an integral part of the team and provide leadership
  • Have the ability to accurately read all types of construction plans
  • Take responsibility for allotted tasks, a good work ethic and have pride in the completed job
  • Ability to book materials, labour & inspections and forecast programmed works
  • Depending on project size and type, the role can require providing direction to the allocated team on site.
  • Solid understanding of OHS Procedures, and compliance with Industry OHS Procedures
  • Managing foremans and sub-contractors to ensure they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, monitoring their performance, in regard to safety, quality, program and report deficiencies to the Construction Manager
  • Previous experience of structural concrete package over $3 Million 
  • Managing cost control for certain aspects of the project, in order to ensure the project meets its required performance targets in relation to budget
  • Prepare & submit monthly progress claims to clients
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Review supplier & subcontractor invoices
  • Review scope of works & contracts
  • Prepare & submit SWMS
  • Submit RFIs
  • General document control

Salary package will depend on the candidates experience.
