Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead and oversee the implementation of a new app designed to support our client's e-commerce website. This role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful deployment of the app both online and at the store level.

Initally going to be a 6 month contract but likely to extend to 12.

MUST HAVE RETAIL AND APP DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

Paying a daily rate - ideally asap start. NEW PROJECT! You won't be walking into a mess - you can take ownership of this delivery from initiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management for the development and implementation of the new e-commerce app.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, e-commerce, and store operations, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and development teams to ensure the timely delivery of project components.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise.
  • Ensure that the app is integrated seamlessly with the existing e-commerce platform and store systems.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders and provide transparent project updates.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that the app meets all functional and performance requirements.
  • Manage the rollout of the app at the store level, including training and support for store staff.
  • Ensure project completion within the defined budget and timeline.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in the retail or e-commerce sector.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and mobile app development.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Knowledge of store-level operations and how technology can enhance in-store experiences.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
