We're searching for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to design, cost and deliver contaminated land remediation, dewatering and Water Treatment projects.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Ballina office (NSW). We are open to exploring alternative arrangements for suitable candidates to reside in either our Coffs Harbour office (NSW) or Gold Coast office (QLD).
The Role:
As a Project Manager in Remediation, Dewatering and Water Treatment, you will be instrumental in:
- Driving business growth by identifying new client opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and positioning the company's services to meet client needs.
- Developing comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Collaborating with engineers and environmental specialists to design effective remediation solutions tailored to site-specific conditions.
- Preparing accurate project cost estimates and delivering projects to budget.
- Coordinating the procurement of necessary equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
- Overseeing project implementation, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control measures.
- Performing on-site labour, primarily in project mobilisation phase and supporting team with on-site troubleshooting and technical advice.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, team members and other project stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Preparing project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Promoting continuous improvement and learning.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Project/Construction Management.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Track record in the planning, management, and delivery of remediation and/or civil projects.
- Working knowledge of the planning and construction phases of remediation projects.
- Ability to manage project financials including costs, cash flow and budgets.
- Experience interpreting, negotiating, and managing contracts.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's), and Operation and Maintenance Manuals (O&M's).
- Knowledge of best-practice remediation techniques (soil and groundwater).
- Demonstrated practical on-site experience in remediation, dewatering and/or Water Treatment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve "on your feet".
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage project teams.
- Manual Driver’s License issued by an Australian State or Territory.
Desirable Skills:
- Fuel and PFAS contamination experience.
- Site dewatering and Water Treatment experience.
