Project Manager | Structural Steel

The Company:
Stellar Recruitment are partnering with an industry leading steel fabrication business who specialise in fabrication, on-site installation and digital engineering. Given the demand for people with Structural Steel experience our client understands they need to offer flexibility and be accommodating on salary to get the right person.
  
The Role:
As Project Manager you will report to the Project Director and assist in delivering multiple Structural Steel projects concurrently across Australia. These projects can vary in size and complexity with the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries including infrastructure, construction, utilities, façade, mining, architecture and heavy industrial. This role will suit an experienced Project Supervisor/Manager but can be tailored to suit a tradesperson or steel detailer wanting to develop their leadership skills and gain experience delivering projects.
  
The Needs:

• Manage the planning, scheduling, installation and risks for projects.
• Responsible for client communication, procurement, quality management, cost tracking, HSE and construction supervision.
• Engage with all internal and external stakeholders including clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Actively investigate and implement safety, productivity, and cost initiatives across sites.
• Provide leadership and assistance to all team members whether direct or indirect.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have significant Structural Steel and commercial construction knowledge.
• Microsoft Office is essential and knowledge of P6 and Strumis would be desirable.
• A customer-focused attitude and desire to go the extra mile for the team.
