About the Role
As the Senior Project Manager, your role encompasses the creation and management of detailed, integrated project plans aimed at planning and tracking project delivery. In addition to this, you will take charge of leading and managing the scope and design, aligning complex dependencies and deliverables, and managing risks and issues.
Your responsibilities are across the end-to-end management and delivery of technical and non-technical projects, starting from requirements gathering, through design, build, testing, and implementation, culminating in the handover to operations. A crucial aspect of your role involves exceptional stakeholder management at various levels both internally and externally, in a multi-vendor environment.
Your strong leadership and management skills will be crucial as you delve into understanding, analysing, and critiquing the technical aspects of the solutions being delivered.
You’ll play a vital role in identifying and communicating the impact of complex dependencies on the broader technology roadmap. In line with the Agency’s governance and project delivery processes, your adaptive approach encompasses working with both waterfall and agile methodologies as necessary to ensure successful and efficient project delivery.
Skills and Experience
• Experienced with technical delivery of software & systems development, technical products, services & solutions, infrastructure and operations.
• Working in a complex, technical, multi-vendor environment with experience in leading and managing delivery across all parties, internal and external.
• Working in multi cloud environments for example Azure, OCI, AWS etc.
• Complex dependency management - identifying, mapping and managing key project dependencies, liaising and communicating with any dependent projects across the Agency on project delivery status such as slippage, risks/issues etc
• Strong governance focus with stakeholder management and communication experience at senior exec level.
• Superior understanding & consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration.
• Exceptional stakeholder management across various levels internally and externally in a multi-vendor environment
Qualifications
• 5 years’ project Management experience (strongly desired).
• Relevant project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, PMP)
• Program management experience desired but not essential
• Relevant tertiary qualification desired but not essential
• Agile qualification desired but not essential

Eligibility
• Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
• Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between $111,611 - $127,294 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
