About the Role 
Based at our Perth office, the primary objective of this position is to deliver effective procurement outcomes in support of project requirements encompassing Timor-Leste, Western Australia and Northern Australia assets (onshore and offshore). 

Reporting to the Team Leader Procurement – Offshore Development and working within an established diverse team, this is a market facing role interacting with some of Santos’ key suppliers to secure project goods and services required.


Key accountabilities include:   
  • Deliver end to end contracting and procurement activities for assigned project scopes.
  • Use initiative, industry knowledge and best practice concepts to develop and execute quality project contracting and sourcing strategies to achieve project requirements and lowest total cost outcomes.
  • Identify and deliver project benefits through sourcing, negotiation, and excellence in contract management.
  • Effectively engage and work collaboratively with team, project managers, senior leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure best value outcomes and compliance.
  • Develop negotiation plans in collaboration with stakeholders and contribute to negotiation events.
  • Manage contractual relationships with Contractors throughout the post-award contract lifecycle to ensure risk is managed and performance requirements are met.
  • Maintain assigned contracts and associated documentation to a high standard including management of term, contract value, security requirements, variations, claims and disputes. 
  • Perform and manage transactions within Contract Management and ERP systems.
  • Consider and pursue Local and First Nation participation and emission reduction opportunities for assigned sourcing activities and contracts.
  • Ensure assigned procurement activities comply with applicable Joint Venture Agreements and legislative requirements for relevant jurisdictions, including Timor-Leste.
  • Mitigate or minimise reputational and supply risk to the business through monitoring and addressing modern slavery and other counterparty due diligence considerations for assigned sourcing and contracts.
  • Provide expertise and advice pertaining to contract terms, variations, disputes and sourcing delivery in line with project cost / schedule constraints.
About You
Experience:
  • Proficient in procurement - ideally within oil and gas or similar industry
  • Contract management expertise in support of project needs.
  • High level of time management skills
  • Flexible - ability to work in a shifting environment to meet scheduling priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build and maintain robust relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, and proactive to deliver timely and effective sourcing outcomes.
Education:
Ideally, you will be degree qualified in Law, Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management or demonstrate significant experience within directly relevant role(s), within similar corporate environments.
