Based in Melbourne, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Procurement Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for 3rd party products and services, specifically for Schneider Electric Process Automation projects. Working closely with the hub/cluster leadership team, you will lead a team of professionals to drive competitive supply and services strategies, ensuring the best landed costs aligned with customer requirements. This is a senior leadership role, hence would require experience at similar level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy effective contracting and procurement strategies
- Coordinate with various functions for contract and purchase structuring
- Maintain a robust understanding of suppliers and cost drivers
- Drive SE PA standard processes and procedures, meeting audit requirements
- Lead software procurement and replenish stock levels
- Influence project bid/process and implement regional/global spend leverage
- Demonstrate financial acumen and contribute to P&L parameters
About You:
You’re strategic thinker who has business understanding, enjoys autonomy, focused on finding opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to optimise work processes. You’re customer-obsessed, going above and beyond to deliver extraordinary results and experiences for customers.
In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes to be successful;
- Preferable Degree (Engineering and/or Supply Chain & Logistics)
- Demonstrated experience in Project Procurement & Customer Project environment
- Strong people management skills, in multi cultures, multi sites environment
- Ability to adopt and agile to changes and implement change
- Ability to collaborate, influence & convince in a complex matrix organization
- Good knowledge of process automation, EPC, or large oil & gas industries
- Six Sigma or Black Belt certification
