Bechtel Mining and Metals are searching for an experienced project controls professional to join our Project Risk Management Team in a Project Risk Lead role in our Perth

About the Role:

As Project Risk Lead, you will be tasked with providing guidance, support, and SME technical expertise in Project Risk management for a number of projects and tenders, and your excellence in engaging with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial to success.

Managing and maintaining resilient customer facing relationships and strategically maintaining trust with project leadership, this role requires an influential, confident people person with the ability to drive focus on PRM, lead through influence and encouragement and connect PRM with key interfaces across the project and tendering landscape.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Project Risk management methodologies.
  • Conduct reviews of risk activities to ensure alignment with company & project requirements.
  • Mentor, train and advise project leaders in risk awareness.
  • Develop and deploy risk management tools, procedures, frameworks, CCV criteria and performance standards.
  • Work with foreign languages and translation conduits and act as custodian for Project Risk management processes across the Global Business Unit / Business Line and / or Region.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.

What You Bring:

  • More than 10 years' experience in PMO with on project time in EPCM / PCM / IDP contracts and 10 years' experience specifically in Project Risk management roles.
  • A good grasp of Quantitative and Qualitative Risk management, facilitating large risk workshops and risk reviews must be amongst your hands on experience.
  • In industry experience across one or more of Mining / Renewables / Infrastructure / Oil & Gas is also a must although Mining is highly advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of ISO:31000.
