Project Survey Manager Apply now Job no: 493923 Work type: Full Time Permanent Location: Queensland Categories: Project / Construction Management We are seeking an experienced Project Survey Manager with Dam Construction experience to join Seymour Whyte in this exciting opportunity.

Initially based in the SMEC alliance office in Brisbane, then relocated to the site office in Crow's Nest, Toowoomba. Seymour Whyte, in alliance with SMEC and Toowoomba Regional Council, has been awarded the Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project to increase flood capacity and resilience for the region. Representing our client’s largest project to date, the project involves raising the dam crest height, and widening the spillway whilst also aligning the structure with current engineering design standards to ensure the dam’s long-term viability.

About the role: Plan and manage surveying aspects, including economic planning, financial management, and compliance with legal requirements.

Collaborate with Project Managers to allocate resources in consultation with the National Survey Manager. Supervise and coordinate survey personnel, including staff, labourers, and subcontractors. Oversee surveys to control the location and quality of engineering developments, meeting contractual obligations.

Take charge of designing and maintaining spatial control networks, databases, and managing Survey Requests on the project. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Survey or its equivalent. Prior significant experience across a variety of projects and surveying disciplines Prior experience managing a team of direct and subcontracted team members.

Competency across a variety of computing programs and software platforms. Ability to create and maintain data systems including for design changes, ‘as built’ records and calibration records. Advanced knowledge and understanding of GNSS and Machine Guidance systems.
