The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assist the Engineering Lead to monitor, report and control on Ridley’s Capital expenditure portfolio of projects
  • Assist the teams in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans
  • Execute project management administrative and bookkeeping tasks such as managing invoices, purchase orders and inventory reports, among other financial documents
  • Ensure alignment and compliance to the Ridley’s Project Management Process
  • Coordinate the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what’s needed at the right time
  • Report progress to team members and help them understand what’s expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables
  • Be the liaison between the project team and project clients throughout the project life cycle ie Site project update meetings
  • Help project managers monitor project progress and team members’ performance and provide updates to project stakeholders
  • Schedule stakeholder meetings, document and generate reports
  • Foster cross-team collaboration to help project team members complete project tasks and produce deliverables
  • Visit sites as required to assist in the management of the portfolio of capital projects
  • Comply with relevant OHS/WHS legislation
  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected by their actions (or omissions).
  • Co-operate with any reasonable instruction, policy and procedure.
  • Not intentionally (or recklessly) interfere with or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interests of health, safety or welfare; and
  • Identify and report all hazards, near misses, injuries, illnesses and incidents.
  • Demonstrate Ridley values through their behaviour and interactions with others.

The key skills required for this role include 

  • Qualified in appropriate engineering discipline (civil/mechanical/electrical or process) or a mechanical/electrical tradesperson seeking to develop their project management skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake regional/interstate travel from time to time.
  • AutoCAD 2D Engineering drawing experience with exposure to 3D modelling.
  • Project/portfolio management fundamentals understood and can be demonstrated.
  • Proficient in technical and report writing.
  • Technically proficient at implementing the requirements of legislation of governing authorities including the requirements of Australian Standards where relevant.
  • Proficient the suite of Microsoft Project and Office applications.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, SCADA and PLC control systems.
  • Organised and methodical individual with an appreciation of the need to be flexible and adaptable.
  • High energy and ability to engage with all personnel on the job.
  • Curious with an open and questioning mind.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across the business.
  • Generates trust, confidence and openness from others.
  • Hold a Driver’s License.
