About the Role
Partnering with the Contracts and Projects Coordinator, the Projects Officer will work with management to deliver on strategic and operational business improvements by focusing on delivering efficiencies and improved work processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Increasing project delivery capacity of the Infrastructure Delivery team, in all areas of the business.
- Planning project delivery in line with Council’s project delivery management systems, requirements, legislation and regulations.
- Assisting in preparing schedules and project plans to ensure projects remain on time and within budget specifications.
- Ensure quality asset information within the asset register.
- Actively consult with other Narrabri Shire staff and external service providers to ensure matters are achieved in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and preparation of risk management plans to mitigate/minimise risks to the Council and stakeholders.

About You
As our ideal candidate, you will:
- have experience in project and budget management, with the ability to analyse, evaluate and synthesise information from a wide variety of sources.
- have experience in all functions associated with the management of assets.
- have a high level of written, oral communication and negotiation skills.
- have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
